Massive milestone!

Sorry for being a little quiet on devlogs lately, but that’s only because I’ve been cooking up a ton of new stuff for the game. Here’s what’s new:

Name selector – You, the caretaker, can now choose your name. Your TEP will react to it and call you up. Maybe there’s even a hidden secret tied to that.

Art style update – I shifted the palette and art direction to something that just feels cleaner and easier on the eyes. Big glow-up.

Interactive objects – The world feels way more alive now. Little things like switches, buttons, and more can be played with.

Food system overhaul – The old system was buggy and boring. Now food comes with tooltips, smoother interactions, and way more personality.

Day system - TEP will end day 60 (in-game), the game won’t be infinite, but enough to last you hours.

Free game - TEP will be free to play on your computer, because why not?

And that’s not even all. I’ve been working on dialogues, more TEPs, a whole Plaza area, arcade mini games, secrets (yes, real ones), and even some deeper lore.

By the end of this month, I plan to launch a Kickstarter. The goal won’t be huge, just enough to push the game forward and make it possible, and part of it will go to animal charities.

Risks and challenges This is a small one-man project that I plan to wrap up in just a couple of months. The game is already playable and packed with ideas, but doing everything alone can be overwhelming. That said, I think the solo-dev grind gives it a unique charm. The biggest challenge is balancing development with school and life, but I’m determined to push through and make it happen.
